You can travel out to nearby Metrotown Shopping Mall or across the bridge to the open-air Granville Island Market to get some unique souvenirs. When you are hungry, there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from around the world.
Vancouver is a hotspot for night-time entertainment as well. There are many fun bars and clubs to dance the night away. You have a wide range of movie theatres, concert halls and stage plays to choose from. The best part is that all of these activities are within easy walking distance from each other.
You may also stretch your legs and visit another nearby city while studying English in Vancouver. We are a great starting point. It is the central hub to many other great destinations. Take a bus to the mountain town of Whistler, the ski resort that hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics. Enjoy a ferry ride to Victoria and be sure to watch for dolphins and whales. Ride the train through the stunning Rocky Mountains into Alberta or visit one of Canada’s pristine national parks. Cross the border and visit our neighbouring American city of Seattle.
