VGC Language School offers three different English language courses to choose from: General English, General English Plus or English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Each of our courses help students build a solid foundation for advanced English programs. They help students prepare for Vancouver IELTS and TOEFL exams, Study & Work internships, and University Pathway programs.
 General English
Our General English course in Vancouver runs 18 hours per week. This course is ideal for students who are looking for a balanced international program, one that allows them the opportunity to genuinely experience Canadian life and culture while they study. Students take classes all morning, learning the foundations in communication skills such as listening, speaking and grammar. With courses finishing at lunch time, our students are free to explore Vancouver!

 General English Plus
General English Plus runs 24 hours per week and is ideal for students wishing to spend more time in the classroom to pick up some customized English skills. In addition to the General English program, students taking General English Plus choose two specialized elective classes in the afternoon. Electives classes focus on real-life English skills such as interview preparation, business correspondence or global social issues, offering General English Plus students an edge by customizing their English skills.

 English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
The English for Academic Purposes program is designed to help students prepare for higher education at universities or entry into the work force. The EAP program runs 30 hours per week. It contains everything the General English Plus program does—including the customizable electives classes—and adds specialized academic reading and writing classes to complete your English training. By focusing on academic language, students will learn how to maximize their communication talents and will develop the skills vital to success in higher education and the workforce.
