At VGC Language School we offer several comprehensive courses to study English in Vancouver. Our program consists of 15 levels that are broken down into several components. Each level represents 1 month (4 weeks) of study at VGC:

Levels 1 - 9 make up our general English programs (18, 24 or 30 hrs/week). Designed for true beginners to lower advanced students, these levels focus on building a well-rounded base of English language skills and prepare them for advanced studies.
Levels 9 - 15 comprise of our advanced course offerings—IELTS, TOEFL and University Pathway courses. Though all three of these courses is designed to continue from level 9 and maintain the broad focus of building well-rounded English, each is designed with a particular goal in mind: to achieve an optimized TOEFL or IELTS score or to successfully transfer into a Canadian college or university.

Internships

Upon completion of level 6, students may opt to participate in one of VGC’s Study & Work internship programs. The internship programs are a great way to refine your English working side-by-side with Canadians while earning international work experience.

Electives

Electives offer students an opportunity to customize their English skills. VGC offers a wide variety of specialized electives to focus on complex parts of the English language that tend to be unique to a certain area, like English for Marketing and Advertising or Interview Skills. Electives classes run in the afternoons and let students to tailor their English skills to match their interests and abilities.
