Multimedia Class Student Project – 150 Years of Canada

by Lliam Easterbrook

To celebrate Canada’s benchmark 150th birthday, I asked my students to create a short video which would capture the anticipation and celebratory atmosphere around the city of Vancouver, and more specifically the personal reflections that this historic birthday has produced in so many Canadians.

Korean students Kyunghoon Jin and Yonggeon Kim ventured out into the city to interview various people about what Canada means to them, as well as their hopes for the country going forward. The result is an optimistic mosaic which celebrates Canada’s short but uniquely progressive history.
