June 2018 – Our Activities And Highlights Of The Month

by MATT NAPIER

Vancouver may be known as “Raincouver” because of the depressingly high number of rainy days we get during the winter months. But the reason everyone here endures the bad weather is finally here: SUMMERTIME! June kicks off this glorious season with warmer temperatures and more regular sunshine, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our top 3 picks for this month are:

VGC Rocky Mountains Trips – June is when we organize our annual trips to the world-renowned Canadian Rocky Mountains. These will be trips you’ll remember forever, as we share the experience of sleeping in teepees, wilderness cabins, campfires, and seeing some of the most spectacular scenery you’ll ever see. Don’t miss out on this road trip of a lifetime!

Beach BBQ – What better way to spend the day than in Stanley Park by the beach, hanging out with all your classmates and teachers, listening to music, eating food, and playing volleyball in the sunshine? So come, bring a blanket, and get ready to relax for the day.

VGC Boat Party – Forget riding a bike around Stanley Park for a minute. We think one of the best ways to see our beautiful city is from the water. So join us for a private 5-hour cruise around downtown and all the way up to Deep Cove where we can stop for a refreshing swim before dancing or singing some karaoke the whole way back to downtown.
