August 2017 – Our Activities And Highlights Of The Month

by MATT NAPIER

It’s hard to believe that we are already halfway through the summer. Time really flies when you are having fun! And we are not about to stop having fun in August. Check out our calendar for this month, and be sure you don’t miss out on our top picks from this month:

VGC Camping & Rafting Trip – Embark with your classmates and teachers on an adrenaline-packed overnight rafting trip on the Thompson River. We will camp overnight on our very own island, before spending an entire day floating down the river, where we’ll be rafting over class 3, 4, and 5 rapids! So be sure to hold on tight!

Joffre Lakes Hike – Come for a hike in the mountainous beauty that British Columbia is famous for. This intermediate 10km hike will lead you to some spectacular views of blue and green glacial lakes.

Japanese Cultural Day – Come over to Room #206 of our Hastings Campus after school for a cultural display organized by one of our Japanese student groups, showcasing Japanese food, origami, and calligraphy.
